Chicago's annual Double Ten Parade held in Chinatown

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's Chinatown got an early start on Double Ten Day celebrations.

The neighborhood hosted the annual Double Ten Parade Sunday.



It celebrates the October 10, 1911 uprising that led to founding of the Republic of China.

The National Day of the Republic of China is a national holiday in Taiwan, which is what remains of the Republic of China today.

ABC7 Chicago's Judy Hsu was the grand marshal of the parade.
