Hinsdale man ID'd as man killed in Dan Ryan crash, Chicago man charged with DUI, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Hinsdale man was identified as a driver who was struck and killed after getting out of his vehicle on the Dan Ryan Expressway, Illinois State Police said.

The crash happened on August 6 at about 1:46 a.m. in the outbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway near 95th Street.



Illinois State Police said a Hinsdale man was involved in a hit-and-run crash.

The man then stepped out of his vehicle and was struck by a passing white Kia, Illinois State Police said.



He was taken to an area hospital where he died.

He was identified as 47-year-old Alassane Tchandikou of Hinsdale.

The driver of the Kia was identified as 34-year-old Marques D. Worrell of Chicago.

Worrell was arrested and charged with one felony count of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in death.

No other information was available.
