Car appears to hit parked cars before Burbank home, causing gas leak, police say

Police said one person left the scene after the crash, but was taken into custody for 'investigative purposes.'

BURBANK, Ill. (WLS) -- A car appeared to have hit several parked cars before crashing into a home in Burbank early Friday morning.

Burbank police said the crash took place about 2:30 a.m. in the 8100-block of South Mason Avenue.



Video of the scene showed a black sedan crashed into the home.

The home appeared to have sustained major damage.

It was not clear what led up to the crash.



Police said one person left the scene after the crash, but was taken into custody for "investigative purposes."

The crash caused a gas leak, which was contained, police said.

Police did not immediately say if anyone was injured in the incident.
