ABC7 crews counted at least eight damaged cars near 49th Street and Dorchester Avenue.
Neighbors said that their vehicles were targeted for their airbags.
One frustrated woman says it's not the first time this has happened on her block.

Airbag thefts have been a trend in Chicago in recent months, with Hondas often targeted.
Chicago police have not released details.
ABC7 reached out to the University of Chicago due to the proximity of the robberies.
In a statement a spokesperson said: "UCPD is aware of this situation, though as of yet UCPD has not been contacted by affected residents directly. We encourage anyone who believes their vehicle was impacted to contact CPD directly."
