The crash happened on around 7:56 p.m. on May 11 in the 3100-block of Franklin Boulevard, according to Chicago police.

A 45-year-old woman was crossing the street when she was hit by an eastbound maroon-colored vehicle, police said.
The woman was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said the woman died Sunday at Accent Care at Macneal in Berwyn, nearly two weeks after the crash. She was identified as 45-year-old Lisa Barber of Chicago.
Chicago police said the driver in the hit-and-run crash fled the scene after the collision.
A friend of Barber named Katie shared a statement with ABC7 Sunday evening following Barber's death.
"Lisa had become a good friend of mine over the past few years and was a member of my book club," the statement read in part. "We're a group of about 10, and we're all in shock over how suddenly this happened, how abruptly Lisa could be here one minute, so full of life, so hilarious, and making plans for the future - whether that was a trip or what our next book would be... Our book club is trying to channel our grief and anger into advocacy. We're in the early stages of planning pedestrian safety advocacy near where the hit-and-run happened..."
Carolyn Harvey lives across the street from the crash scene, and she told ABC7 the day after the crash that she saw police activity when she got home from work.
"I just saw the flashing light and the police in the boulevard," Harvey said.
People who live in the neighborhood say the stretch of Franklin Boulevard has long been a concern because of speeding traffic and dangerous driving behavior.
"Cars don't stop. Pedestrians try to walk across the street, but there's no help to help them across," Angel Rodriguez said.
Detectives with the Chicago Police Major Accidents Investigation Unit are investigating.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen a maroon-colored vehicle with possible front-end damage near Franklin Boulevard Monday night to contact police immediately.
