Woman critically hurt in hit-and-run crash in East Garfield Park, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash in East Garfield Park, Chicago police said.

It happened on Monday at about 7:56 p.m. in the 3100-Block of Franklin Boulevard, according to police.

A 45-year-old woman was walking along west Franklin Boulevard when she was hit by a maroon-colored vehicle.

Chicago police said the driver took off.

The woman was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.

No other information was available.
