CHICAGO (WLS) -- A person on a sidewalk was killed in a drive-by shooting Saturday on the city's South Side.
The shooting happened around 5:32 p.m. in the block of South Ingleside Avenue near Chatham and Grand Crossing, Chicago police said.
A male victim, whose age was not yet known, was near a sidewalk when an offender in an unknown vehicle pulled out a gun and fired shots, police said.
The victim was shot multiple times. He was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, CPD said.

No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
