19-year-old man inside home killed in drive-by shooting in Auburn Gresham, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was killed in a drive-by shooting on Chicago's South Side Saturday evening.

The shooting happened around 5:08 p.m. in the 7700 block of South Racine Avenue in Auburn Gresham, Chicago police said.

A 19-year-old man was inside a residence when when an unknown offender in vehicle outside took out a gun and fired shots, police said.

Police said the victim was shot in the head and was pronounced dead on the scene, CPD said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 19-year-old Michael Rounds Jr.
