4 shot, 3 fatally, near barbershop in West Garfield Park, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Four people were shot, three fatally, Friday afternoon on the city's West Side, Chicago police said.

Four people were near the sidewalk in the 4000-block of West Maypole Avenue in West Garfield Park just before 4:45 p.m., when an unknown vehicle approached them, CPD said.



At least two suspects got out with guns and fired shots at the victims, police said.

A 32-year-old woman was shot in the head and taken to Stroger Hospital, where she died.



A 35-year-old man was shot multiple times and taken to Stroger, where he is in critical condition.

A 36-year-old man was shot multiple times and pronounced dead on the scene.

A male victim was shot multiple times and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he died.

Chopper 7 was over the scene, where Chicago police could be seen investigating near multiple businesses, including a barbershop.



Area Four detectives are investigating.
