Better Business Bureau warns of fake grocery, gas vouchers that could cost customers

Updated 31 minutes ago
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Got a postcard promising hundreds of dollars in free gas and grocery vouchers? The Better Business Bureau says stop before you pay a fee to "cash in."

Scammers are mailing official-looking offers that ask for a small processing fee, sometimes just five bucks. But once they get your payment information, unauthorized charges can follow.

Never pay upfront for a prize or reward. Research the offer independently, and never give payment information under pressure.
