Officials ID missing Evanston man found dead along Des Plaines River in Libertyville

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Officials have identified the missing north suburban man who was found dead along the Des Plaines River on Friday evening.

Crews conducted a two-day search for 30-year-old Evanston man Julian Newman around Lake Minear in Libertyville.



Newman's body was found near West Oak Spring Road in Libertyville around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Lake County Coroner's Office said autopsy results indicate that Newman drowned.



The Lake County Forest Preserve Police and the Lake County Coroner's Office are investigating.
