CHICAGO (WLS) -- An 18-year-old Oak Park man has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a bicyclist earlier this week in Grant Park, according to CPD.

Eliel Argudo-Tenorio was arrested just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Oak Park, Chicago police said.

CPD said Argudo-Tenorio shot a 27-year-old man about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 300-block of East Jackson Drive.

Police said the victim was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk when he heard shots and felt pain.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 27-year-old Malik Jones of Chicago.

Video showed a Divvy bike surrounded by evidence markers after the shooting.

According to data from the Chicago Police Department, this marks the fifth person shot in the Loop community.
