Bicyclist shot, killed in Grant Park, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 27-year-old man riding a bike in Grant Park was killed in a shooting Tuesday morning, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 12:15 a.m. in the 300-block of East Jackson Drive.

Police said the victim was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk when he heard shots and felt pain.

He was wounded in the upper leg and transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he later died, police said.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
