MORTON GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- A pedestrian was trapped under a car after a crash in a north suburban parking lot Wednesday morning, fire officials said.

A car in an Aldi parking lot just before 11 a.m. at 7905 Golf Road in Morton Grove lost control and hit the pedestrian and three parked cars, police said.

Fire officials on the scene said the pedestrian was stuck under the car and had to be removed at Washington Commons, a Morton Grove strip mall. Police said the man did not appear to have suffered any major injuries.

"We had to lift the car slightly to get him slid out from underneath the vehicle, and then we initiated our medical care," Morton Grove Fire Chief Will Paces said.

He was taken to Lutheran General Hospital, and is expected to be OK.
