MUNDELEIN, Ill. (WLS) -- A 21-year-old South Holland man has been charged in a Tuesday double shooting in north suburban Mundelein, police said Wednesday.

Deandre Y. Harris has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm in connection to the shooting.

Police said Harris is dating a 19-year-old woman, who lives at an apartment in the 500-block of Deepwoods Drive.

Harris was visiting his girlfriend when he got into an argument with a 48-year-old man who lives in the apartment, just before 11:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said Harris shot the man and the man's girlfriend, a 47-year-old woman.

Police found a gun in Harris' vehicle Tuesday, officials said.

Harris is due in court Wednesday morning.

The state's attorney's office intends to file a petition to detain Harris, pending trial.
