Truck crashes into Indiana police officer's patrol car; officials searching for driver | Video

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WLS) -- An Indiana sheriff's department has released video of a hit-and-run crash involving one of their officers in an effort to find the truck involved.

The Allen County Sheriff's Department said a patrol vehicle was driving about 9:20 p.m. Saturday near Wallen and Lima roads in Fort Wayne, when a truck turned directly in front of it.



It was a significant crash, the sheriff's department said.

The truck drove away.



Police said it was a dark-colored Ford F-250 or F-350 with a red plow on the front and salt spreader on the back.

Police did not immediately provide any additional information about the driver or the officer's condition.
