CHICAGO (WLS) -- The U.S. Department of Education has pulled millions of dollars in funding for Chicago Public Schools' "Magnet Schools Assistance Program."
CPS officials confirmed the cancellation of funds to ABC7 Chicago.
The Trump administration says it pulled funding because CPS did not abolish the Black Student Success Plan, and the district didn't ban transgender students from using bathrooms or competing in sports that match their gender identities.
CPS was expecting to receive $8 million dollars.
