Man accused of beating woman, crashing into Woodstock townhome, officials say

WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WLS) -- A man is accused beating a woman before crashing into a townhome in the far northwest suburbs , the McHenry County State's Attorney said.



The crash happened on May 30 at about 2:38 a.m. in the 2300-Block of Linden Drive, Woodstock Fire/Rescue District said.

Matthew Zamorano, 31, was charged with multiple counts of domestic battery, reckless driving, and other related charges.

He allegedly struck a woman during a domestic dispute and drove off in a "highly reckless and dangerous manner."



Zambrano is accused of crashing into a pole and into the townhome.

Two adults and two children were sleeping inside the home at the time of the crash. Officials said nobody was injured.

The state's attorney said the people in the townhome had no connection to the previous domestic dispute.



The victim of the domestic dispute was taken to an area hospital for her injuries.

Zambrano was denied a pre-trial release. His next court date is June 12.
