Family displaced after driver crashes into townhome in Woodstock, officials say

WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WLS) -- A family was displaced after a driver crashed into a townhome in the far northwest suburbs on Saturday, Woodstock fire officials said.

The crash happened at about 2:38 a.m. in the 2300-Block of Linden Drive, Woodstock Fire/Rescue District said.

First responders said the driver crashed into the first floor of an end-unit townhome.

The man driving the car was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

Two adults and two children were sleeping inside the home at the time of the crash. Officials said nobody was injured.

Due to the crash, the townhome was deemed uninhabitable.

The American Red Cross will help the family.
