VIDEO: Man twerks to get judge's attention

MIAMI, FL -- A man suspected of stealing a car from a high school busted out his best dance moves when he appeared in bond court Thursday morning.

Thirty-year-old Calvin Lloyd Griffith began twerking to gain the attention of Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Catherine M. Pooler.

"My mom's here!" Griffith exclaimed as he was brought before the judge.

Griffith's microphone was turned off after he continued to speak, but that's when he started twerking.

Judge Pooler was not amused, and set his bond at $18,500.

According to Miami-Dade Schools Police, Griffith was arrested earlier on Thursday, and charged in the carjacking of a vehicle parked at Miami Edison Senior High School.

Police said Griffith entered Miami Edison's attendance office on Tuesday. Once he entered the office, he removed a person's car keys from the counter belonging to a 2013 black Volkswagen Passat.

Moments later, he drove out of the parking lot.

Surveillance footage recorded from the school helped police identify Griffith.

WSVN reports that Griffith has been charged with burglary in an occupied dwelling, petit theft, third-degree grand theft auto and trespassing a school/school safety zone.
