CHICAGO (WLS) -- You can now pay $1,000 dollars for an ice cream sundae at the Langham Hotel's Pavilion Restaurant in River North.
The dessert, called "The Victoria," is made of exotic vanilla and chocolate ice cream and an assortment of fine toppings including Hennessy VSOP, 24 karat gold dust and 24 karat gold leaf. The treat is served in a Wedgewood Crystal bowl that you get to keep, as well as a bottle of Dom Perignon, 2003.
"I based this menu on the flavors and treats I enjoyed as a kid, while also creating unique dessert concepts that spoke to all sorts of audiences - kids and adults," says Chef Scott Green. "Ice cream is a year-round craving and the added alcohol component simply makes it that much more versatile for guests to indulge throughout all seasons."
