HOUSTON, Texas -- Airbnb is expanding its free room offer that was originally extended to Hurricane Harvey evacuees in the central Texas coast to those in the Houston area affected by the flood.
The website that connects travelers with residential hosts will waive regular fees for stays through Sept. 25. The offer was originally set to expire on Sept. 1.
Airbnb hosts in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio are being recruited to house evacuees. Hosts located north of the Houston area as well as towns in central Texas are also being added to the free listings.
The offer is being made possible through Airbnb's Disaster Response Program. You can view the listings on the house hosting website.
