Body found in Des Plaines River

CHANNAHON, Ill. (WLS) -- A body was recovered from the Des Plaines River Monday morning between Channahon and Joliet, authorities said.

Illinois State Police said a call for a water rescue came in at approximately 10:30 a.m. Monday.

When crews arrived, the body was found floating in the water, officials said. The victim's identity has not been released and no further details were available.
