Back to school Monday for many Chicago area students

ELGIN, Ill. (WLS) -- It hardly even feels like we had a summer but Monday is back to school day for hundreds of thousands of students in the Chicago area.

Students in Elgin's U-46 school district will be in class Monday morning. That's the state's second-largest school district and covers many communities in the northwest suburbs.

Also Monday, students in Oswego District 308 and Plano District 88 return to class.

Students in Naperville 203 and Gary, Indiana return to class on Wednesday.
