CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Public Schools officials and faith leaders announced the Safe Haven summer program locations on Tuesday.
Starting July 6, kids can participate in activities at 120 churches and community centers across the city. Organizers say it's a fun and safe alternative for parents and guardians to keep their students safe and mentally stimulated this summer.
"The aid of academic supports aid in the prevention of sour learning loss and ensures that our students are starting the school year on the right foot," said
The Safe Haven program runs through August 14 and is free for all CPS students.
