CHICAGO (WLS) -- Unionized teachers for the UNO Charter Schools took a strike vote Thursday and said they will walk out if they don't have a deal by Oct. 19.
The union said 531 of its 532 members cast their ballots Thursday afternoon, with 508 voting in favor of a strike.
If UNO teachers walk out, the union said it would be the first in the nation against a charter school system.
