Waukegan teachers may strike soon

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- Waukegan teachers could be on strike as early as next week.

The teachers, who are part of School District 60, voted last week to allow a strike.

The union told the district it would wait until Oct. 2 for a strike to allow more time for negotiations.

The board will submit their most recent offer by the end of this week. Another negotiation session with both sides will be held Thursday.
