Chief Keef hologram concert postponed

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Father Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina's Church would "welcome a conversation" with rapper Chief Keef, who postponed a hologram benefit concert in Chicago. Chief keef is known for glorifying guns and violence in his music.

Father Pfleger told Chief Keef to "SHUT UP" last week when the rapper announced he was going to hold the benefit for Dillan Harris, 13 months, who was killed when a car jumped the curb and struck his stroller. The driver of the car was fleeing from a shooting that killed another Chicago rapper, Marvin Carr, known as "Capo," and a friend of Chief Keef

Redmoon Theater was to host the event, but postponed the concert because they "did not understand the full nature of the event," according to the theater.

Chief Keef spokesman and CEO of FilmOn Networks and Hologram USA Alki David released this statement on Friday:

"Chief Keef's Stop the Killing Now benefit concert has been postponed. The meddling, attention seeking Father Pfleger, who bullied the owner of the downtown theater to back out of his contract, will not succeed. He is exploiting this tragedy and taking money away from the victims and solid charities who are doing good work in Chicago. Chief Keef is 19 years old and a loving father. His example of new maturity, redemption, and wanting to give back can influence young people on the South Side like no caterwauling clergyman can. We will bring Keef's message of peace to the streets."

Keef, who is facing legal troubles in Illinois, would have performed from Los Angeles.
