CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's Columbus Day Parade is moving to State Street in the Loop this year.
In the past, the route was on Columbus Drive from Balbo Avenue to Monroe Street. Organizers said they are thrilled about the move.
The parade, which celebrates Christopher Columbus, kicks off Monday, Oct. 13 at 12:30 p.m. This year's parade is being dedicated to the Italian heroes of the Holocaust.
