GLENDALE, Calif. -- Eight ducklings trapped in a storm drain were reunited with their mother in Glendale, Calif.
Staff members at ABC7 Chicago's affiliate noticed Tuesday morning that the baby ducks had fallen into the parking lot drain.
Maintenance crews were able to remove a manhole cover and scoop them out, one-by-one.
The concerned mother duck monitored the operation until the last tiny duck was rescued.
The reunited family eventually waddled to the end of the parking lot and made it back to the LA River, about 20 yards away.
