GRAYSLAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- The Lake County Fair is a tradition for generations of families. Stop by the Lake County Fairgounds to meet farm animals, listen to live music and more from Wednesday to Sunday.
With several new elements and returning crowd pleasers, fair-goers can watch a magic act, enjoy carnival rides, games, food, blue-ribbon competitions, bingo or go shopping. Popular events include livestock auction, competitive exhibits, queen pageants, pro motocross, Banana Derby races and a demolition derby.
With a legacy that spans more than 150 years, the Lake County Fair annually showcases the talents of community youth, and provides a venue through which they can learn, exhibit and compete in livestock and other projects.
The Lake County Fair Association, which manages and produces the Lake County Fair since 1928, is dedicated to preserving the past, promoting the future and to supporting education about agriculture, horticulture, mechanical arts and rural and domestic economics.
