CULVER CITY, Calif. (WLS) -- A suburban woman has become the third contestant in the history of Jeopardy! to win 12 consecutive games.
Julia Collins, 31, a supply chain professional from Kenilworth, trails only David Madden (19 wins) and Ken Jennings (74) in the list of consecutive games won on the long-running game show after winning in an episode that aired Tuesday.
"When Alex (Trebek) announced that I was in third place for most wins, it reminded me that my streak was pretty unusual," Collins said. "It's exciting to set a Jeopardy! record of any kind, and I'm very proud to be a really good Jeopardy! player."
Collins will be pitted against two new challengers Wednesday in her effort to continue the streak and add to her $245,610 winnings so far.
