'Up the Mississippi' exhibit features art inspired by blues music

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new exhibit takes visitors on a visual road trip, tracking the journey blues music took from Mississippi to Chicago.

'Up the Mississippi' opened Friday night featuring the work of artist Will Armstrong.

Visitors will see works inspired by musicians such as Robert Johnson, Johnny Cash and Muddy Waters.

The exhibit is at the Jackson Junge Gallery on North Milwaukee through October 26.
