Mom has hilarious reaction after she gets 'bun in the oven' joke

This mom knows the expression "bun in the oven," and she admits she's hoping for a grandchild. Still, though, when she finds a roll of bread resting in her literal oven, she's not sure what to make of it.

This daughter's clever pregnancy announcement is being shared online after taking home a victory from "America's Funniest Home Videos."

At the beginning of the video, the mom, Lynnda, goes to put food in the oven. Someone, knowing Lynnda would be opening the door soon, left a bun sitting on the rack for mom to discover. It is meant as an announcement from her daughter that she is pregnant -- she has a "bun in the oven."

At first Lynnda doesn't understand any significance to the roll. Confused, she pulls it out.

"Who's toasting bread?" she asks.

Then she gets prompted: "Why would there be a bun in the oven, Lynnda?"

Absentmindedly she makes the connection as she continues with her food preparation.

"I want my daughter to have a bun in the oven," she jokes.

But then her expression jumps from pleasure to shock as she realizes that her joke wasn't very original, and the literal bun in the oven was meant as something more.

"Did you guys do that?" she exclaims.

Lynnda becomes so overjoyed at the news that a grandchild is on the way that she wets herself.

She finally goes to hug her daughter, bouncing and screaming, "I'm so happy!"

And we're sure that grandchild will be so happy one day when they see Grandma's hilarious response to the big news.
