Has anyone told you "you look just like your mother?" These striking portraits by photographer Ulric Collette show the physical similarities between family members.
Collette's collection splits photographs of parents and children, siblings, even cousins, and combines them into a single image. The results highlight how much different family members can resemble each other even when they are years apart in age or are different genders.
"Like our inexplicable fascination with mug shots, Collette's photographs demonstrates the deep pleasure we take in looking at human faces and their variations," Collette wrote in a statement about the series.
Collette and his own family are featured in the portraits. See how he looks side by side with his son and daughter.
Collette is a graphic designer and photographer based out of Quebec. Check out more of his genetic portraits on his website.
