WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WLS) -- It's been 23 years since the Bill Murray film "Groundhog Day" was released in theaters. The iconic movie was filmed in Woodstock, Ill.
To celebrate the anniversary of the film, and the Groundhog Day prognostication, the village of Woodstock invites everyone to their Groundhog Days. The village gathers each year to remember the fun and celebrate the special community. Between Jan. 30-Feb. 2, there are free showings of "Groundhog Day," a chili cookoff, a bachelor auction, and of course, Woodstock Willie will determine if Winter will last a few weeks longer.
Craig Krandel from the Woodstock Groundhog Day Committee and Woodstock Willie visited ABC 7 Eyewitness News to talk about all the Groundhog Day fun.
