Fire tore through Valparaiso apartment, no one injured

VALPARAISO, Ind. (WLS) -- A fire tore through an apartment in Northwest Indiana Friday.

No one was hurt, but eight of the 16 units were damaged in Valparaiso, roughly 50 miles southeast of Chicago.

The fire has been contained, according to officials.

The Valparaiso Fire Department said investigators are still looking into the cause.
