Happy National Ice Cream Day! Here's where to get free frozen treats on Sunday

Sunday is National Ice Cream Day, a nationwide celebration of America's favorite frozen treat. It's hard to underestimate the importance and deliciousness of ice cream, cooling down hot days, and filling us up with tasty goodness.

Here are some frozen deals you can get on National Ice Cream Day.

Baskin-Robbins: Customers can upgrade double scoops of ice cream with a free waffle cone for the rest of the month. The chain is also offering 31 percent off all ice cream sundaes at participating locations.

Breyers: Heading to a Six Flags park on Sunday? Then you have the opportunity for free ice cream. The first 200 guests to purchase a cup of double scoop ice cream at Six Below featuring Breyers will receive a free upgrade to a sundae plus a single scoop ice cream sundae.

Carvel: Guests can receive a buy one, get one free offer on any size or flavor of soft-serve cones all day on Sunday at participating locations. Carvel also offers buy one get one, or BOGO sundaes every Wednesday.

Cold Stone Creamery: Members the My Cold Stone Club can get a buy one, get one free deal on the creamery's shakes, smoothies, and new frapes.

Dippin' Dots: Visit a Dippin' Dots location on July 19 and you can try a sample of their new flavor, Redberry Sherbert.

Friendly's: BOGO offers will be in place on Saturday, July 18 on top of the $1.99 cones the chain is offering all summer long.

PetSmart: Who says only humans can enjoy ice cream? The pet store will be offering a free sample of 4 oz pet-friendly ice cream on Sunday.
