Mag names 4 locally brewed beers to list of best 100 in world

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago area has some of the best beer in the world, according to one magazine.

Men's Journal released its annual list of the 100 best beers you can buy right now. To make the list, beers had to be widely available on store shelves - not one-off batches or special releases.

Three beers from Chicago breweries and one from northwest Indiana made the cut.

Three Floyds Zombie Dust out of Munster, Ind., was named to the list. In Chicago, Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout, brewed on the Near West Side, Revolution's Fist City, brewed on the Northwest Side and Half Acre Daisy Cutter brewed in the Lincoln Square area all made the cut.

Two New Glarus beers brewed in southern Wisconsin also made the list.
