Naperville Ribfest raises the bar
NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Naperville Ribfest has been a popular summer destination for 28 years. An award winning festival of great music, food, family fun and special events, Ribfest from July 2 through 5, open from 12 noon until 10 pm. There will be a fireworks display on July 4 at 9:30 p.m.
ABC 7 Eyewitness News anchor Hosea Sanders served as a tasting judge for both ribs and rib sauce.
Two stages highlight national music acts including The Band Perry, Paul Rodgers of Bad Company, Sammy Hagar and The Circle, and Kellie Pickler and Kristian Bush.
New this year, Ribfest will feature craft beer tasting from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Held in a private area, visitors 21 and older will sample international and craft beers from North and South America and Europe. The cost for the tasting is $40 per day and includes general admission to Ribfest, 18 3 oz. tastings, education seminars on beer making, a gift bag, a commemorative beer glass, food pairing information, giveaways and drawings for prizes.
Also new this year are Front of Stage reserved tickets. The Front of House reserved tickets include patron access to all Ribfest activities for one day and entrance to the Front of Stage Reserved area closest to the bands playing on the main stage.
Navigating Ribfest becomes easier thanks to an updated version of the Ribfest IPhone app 2.0 available at ITunes and the debut of the Android app found on Google Play.

Gate prices are $15 (cash or credit card accepted)
Online ticket prices are $12 - EARLY BIRD SPECIAL until June 1st
Family Fun Time Special Admission (noon-3pm daily) - $10, must be purchased at the gate
Children 11 and under are FREE everyday
