Ebola fears cause two Cleveland area schools to cancel class

Two schools in Solon, Ohio cancelled their class schedule on Thursday after learning a staff member traveled on the same plane as the second person in the U.S. to contract Ebola.

According to the Associated Press, Solon Middle School and Parkside Elementary School were closed on Thursday as a safety and health concern due to an unnamed middle school staffer having flown on the same Frontier Airlines plane that Amber Joy Vinson, the second person who has contracted Ebola in the U.S., traveled on.

The schools informed parents by email as a precautionary measure. The unnamed staffer was ordered by the district to stay at home for 21 days, and the schools were ordered to be disinfected. At this time, the staffer has shown no symptoms of Ebola.

In Belton, Texas, North Belton Middle School, Sparta Elementary School and the Belton Early Childhood School have closed as it was revealed two students traveled on the same flight as Amber Joy Vinson.
