Wheaton woman named Caregiver of the Year

WHEATON, Ill. (WLS) -- A Wheaton woman is chosen among thousands as Brightstar Care's Caregiver of the Year in the Midwest region.

Elsa Salguero was surprised today by the home care agency and the family she works with.

The family who nominated her says Salguero's devotion to her patients is unequaled.

"My ultimate goal every time I encounter my patients and clients is to always leave them better than what they are when you first encounter them. Walk out of the room knowing that you've done everything that you possibly could to leave them feeling loved and important," said
