Chicago Marathon entry lottery opens March 10

CHICAGO (WLS) -- If you're thinking about running in this year's Chicago Marathon, you can get in the lottery next month.

Entries will open on March 10 at noon. Anyone who qualifies for a guaranteed entry can also register then.

This is the second year organizers are using the lottery system to pick the runners.

This year's marathon is set for Sunday, Oct. 11.

Last year's race drew more than 40,000 runners.
