CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle returned to Chicago Sunday, drawing thousands of runners and spectators.
The annual event marks what many regard as the beginning of the running season in Chicago.
"I have about 50 runners out here, it's a great day, winter is over in Chicago and it's time to hit the streets!" said Coach Mark Buciak. "This is like opening day for the runners."
Supporters of all ages lined up along streets in the Loop to watch the race, which began at 8:30 a.m.
