CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- The controversial new football bleachers at Crystal Lake South High School will stay up for now.
The bleachers were scheduled to come down on Dec. 1, but an Illinois appellate court put a hold on the order to demolish them until the state Supreme Court considers the case.
The school district is appealing a ruling ordering the tear down after a judge ruled the 51-foot-tall bleachers violate zoning laws.
