Some cable, satellite TV providers raising rates in 2016

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Your cable or satellite TV bill might be going up in the new year.



DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse are raising rates between $2 to $8 a month starting next month. They will also tack on a "broadcast surcharge" increase of $2 a month.



Dish Network also plans to increase its rates by as much as $8 a month beginning January 14.
