1 dead in unincorporated Glen Ellyn house fire

UNINCORPORATED GLEN ELLYN, Ill. (WLS) -- Authorities are investigating after a person was found dead following a house fire in unincorporated Glen Ellyn Monday morning.

The DuPage County Sheriff's Department said firefighters were responded to a home in the Valley View subdivision of Milton Township around 4 a.m.

After extinguishing the blaze, authorities said firefighters entered the home and found one person with no vital signs.

The DuPage County Coroner was called to the scene and confirmed the death around 7:45 a.m. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. No additional details have been released.

At this point, authorities said there is no indication of suspicious circumstances.
