150-year-old Rochelle farm ravaged by tornado

ROCHELLE, Ill (WLS) -- One of the many properties ravaged by the tornado was the Schabecker Farm, located northwest of Rochelle. The farm has been in the same family since 1863 and three generations gathered there to help over the weekend.

By nightfall the damage left behind at this farm was unimaginable. The tornado spared only the house, while the rest of the farm was swept away.

"I was coming out and stuff was flying," Todd Schabacker said.

Volunteers from Operation Blessing also helped.

"I just want to thank everyone that's helping. And God above," Jim Schabacker said.
