19-year-old charged in crash that killed construction worker Jose Tafoya

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Charges have been filed in a wreck that killed a construction worker Saturday morning.

Police say 19-year-old Erick Lopez crashed a minivan into an asphalt paver at 49th and Western in Chicago's Gage Park neighborhood.

Jose Tafoya, 58, of Merrillville, Ind., was killed in the crash. Three other people in the van were hurt.

Lopez faces a reckless homicide and several DUI charges.
