2 charged in Bronzeville fatal shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Terrell Monroe and Marcae Rogers were charged in the shooting death of a 23-year-old man in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood.

Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 300-block of East 47th Street Friday afternoon. Officers found the victim with several gunshot wounds to his chest and leg. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he later died.

Neighbors described the suspects to police. Monroe, 22, and Rogers, 32, were located and taken into custody.

Monroe, of the 7200-block of South Eberhart Avenue, and Rogers, of the 5400-block of South Damen Avenue, were each charged with first-degree murder.

They are due in bond court on Monday.
